Conheça “Cosmic Day”, canção inédita de Prince

Hoje, o The Prince Estate, em parceria com a Warner Records, lança “Cosmic Day”, em todas as plataformas digitais, uma gravação inédita retirada do lendário baú de Prince, que será apresentada na reedição expandida do icônico projeto “Sign O ‘The Times”, com lançamento previsto para 25 de setembro.

 

“Cosmic Day” foi gravada no Sunset Sound, Studio 3, em 15 de novembro de 1986, pelas engenheiras Susan Rogers e Coke Johnson. Esta é, possivelmente, a gravação mais reverenciada da versão Super Deluxe que será lançada, já que releva Prince no seu lado mais psicodélico. Desde os primeiros acordes, até o rife final da guitarra, o artista canta sobre Mermen no céu e voando no fundo do mar.

 

Habitando o vocal em “Camille”, Prince mistura bateria sintetizada e real, guitarras e várias partes do teclado que contribuem para o surrealismo etéreo da música. Embora “Cosmic Day” não tenha aparecido em nenhuma das configurações originais de “Crystal Ball” ou “Sign O ‘The Times”, os elementos da música foram mais tarde usados por Prince, em 1988, durante o intervalo da turnê Lovesexy.

A nova reedição expandida de “Sign O ‘The Times” estará disponível neste segundo semestre em todos os parceiros digitais e de streaming, com o álbum clássico remasterizado pela primeira vez. A edição Super Deluxe apresenta 63 faixas inéditas, além de um show de duas horas e mais inéditas, com achados do baú.

 

As primeiras faixas inéditas da edição deluxe de “Sign’O The Times” foram compartilhadas nas últimas semanas: “Witness 4 The Prosecution (Version 1)” e “I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man (1979 Version)”, já disponíveis em todas as plataformas digitais.
